1998 Dodge Dakota R/T and Big Red Truck Concept

1998 – 2003 Dodge Dakota R/T:

The first generation Dakota R/T was a limited edition “street truck” fashioned off of the popular Dakota pickup. The truck featured a 250-horsepower 5.9-liter Magnum V-8 engine, oversized 17-inch wheels, lowered suspension, performance-tuned exhaust and many other performance enhancements. The Dakota R/T was offered in two-wheel drive configuration only.

2006 – 2007 Dodge Dakota R/T:

The second generation Dakota R/T was offered in 2006 and 2007, it was based on the popular Dakota Club Cab SLT model. Buyers ordering the P7 package received a Dakota R/T with a 4.7-liter high-output (HO) engine, 17-inch five-spoke/five-lug chrome-clad aluminum wheels, hood scoop, Sport Appearance Package (in red or black only), body color grille surround, chrome exhaust tip, cargo box decals, R/T headrest, R/T instrument cluster graphic and Satin Silver center stack/door remote. Offered in both club and quad cab configurations with either two or four wheel drive.
