The Chrysler ‘B” engine heritage dates back to 1958, starting with the 350 cubic inch engine. The ‘B’ engine was offered over the years in displacements of 350, 361, 383 and 400 cubic inches.
The 383 ‘B” engine was an available option on most Chryslers musclecars of the late 60’s and early 70’s including Charger, Challenger, Road Runner, GTX, Super Bee and more. 383’s were offered in both 2 barrel and 4 barrels versions and powered many of Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouths large cars.
